21st of May 2011 - San Severino Marche!

For those who were not there, here is what happened on the day! On the piano is my favourite, one and only flute teacher, Prof. Agostinelli. In front of me sat 4 National Judges.

Per tutti quelli che non erano presenti, ecco cosa è successo quel giorno! Al pianoforte c'è il mio carissimo Prof. Agostinelli. Seduti davanti a me sono dei Giudici Nazionali.

Ciao a tutti - sono Marty! Credo di conoscere molti di voi, perciò non servono introduzioni!
Ho iniziato a suonare il flauto traverso 2 anni fa, più precisamente nell'arco dell'anno scolastico 2009/2010. Avevo una scelta tra violino, chitarra, pianoforte o flauto traverso ma ho provato una voglia tale di suonare il flauto dopo aver assistito ad un concerto di soli flauti. Da lì in poi mi promisi che avrei suonato il flauto perchè amavo sia lo strumento che il suo dolce suono.
Il 21 Maggio del 2011 ho partecipato al 14° Concorso Nazionale di Musica a San Severino Marche vincendo il 1° premio assoluto con il massimo dei punti, ovvero 100/100. Ero felicissima perchè quella vincita stava spianando la mia strada verso una carriera da musicista che sto coltivando con passione.
Devo, naturalmente, ringraziare il mio professore di flauto, il Prof. Agostinelli, che mi ha seguito durante i mesi di preparazione per il concorso perchè senza di lui non sarei andata da nessuna parte. Senza dimenticare la mia primissima Prof.ssa Braconi che mi ha scoperta per prima!
Ho caricato dei video su YouTube, mi piacerebbe molto che li guardaste e che mi daste la vostra opinione.
Grazie per avermi conosciuta un pò più a fondo e spero che ci terremo in contatto!

ENGLISH VERSION

Hi guys, this is Marty. I'm sure we already know each other, directly or indirectly, so I won't introduce myself. Here is what I have been up to since the last time we saw or heard from each other.
In primary school I touched the flute (the plastic one) for the 1st time, and would perform at school concerts and all that. To be honest, I didn't exactly like that plastic flute. Started secondary school in 2009 and was given the opportunity to choose a proper instrument of my choice (piano, guitar, violin, flute etc) so I chose the flute. The first few days I would blow and no sound seemed to come out, think I wasn't positioning my lower lip right! After my 1st proper lesson, finally a sound came out, a squeak rather but I was thrilled with that.

Between then and 21 May 2011, I am a National Champion in the flute section. The Competetion was held at San Severino Marche, so many children participated from all over Italy, some as part of a band and a few doing solos. I did a few solos, and after a few hours of waiting for the judges to stick the results on the wall ... I was shocked to find out I had won 1st Prize with a grand 100 points out of 100!
